Join Our Team as an Adjunct Nursing Faculty for the BSN Program!
Stanbridge University is on the lookout for passionate and dedicated Adjunct Faculty members to lead and inspire the next generation of professional registered nurses in our Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at the Riverside Campus. This pivotal role involves fulfilling both current and future instructional needs across diverse specialty areas within our nursing curriculum.
We are particularly interested in candidates with recent clinical experience in the following high-demand areas: Medical-Surgical Nursing, Obstetrics (Maternal-Newborn), Pediatrics, Mental Health / Psychiatric Nursing, Community Health, and Nursing Leadership and Professional Practice. Teaching assignments will be tailored to align with your clinical expertise and the needs of our program.
As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will play an essential role in advancing student success by providing exceptional instruction in various settings, including the classroom, skills laboratory, and clinical environments. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge, hands-on skills training, and supervised clinical practice, you will prepare our students for safe, competent, and compassionate nursing careers.

Key Instructional Areas of Need:
- Medical-Surgical Nursing (including acute/critical care)
- Obstetrics (Maternal-Newborn Nursing)
- Pediatrics
- Mental Health / Psychiatric Nursing
- Community / Public Health Nursing
- Nursing Leadership, Professional Practice, or Capstone
- All specialty areas require at least one (1) year of clinical nursing experience in the relevant area within the last five (5) years
- Clinical experience must be documented and verifiable according to institutional, regulatory, and accreditation standards
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver clinical and/or theoretical instruction utilizing approved course materials
- Design instructional strategies that foster critical thinking and clinical reasoning
- Assess student performance against nursing standards and program competencies
- Facilitate the integration of theoretical concepts into practical patient care
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to clinical site and university policies
- Lead pre- and post-clinical conferences to reinforce learning objectives
- Engage students in reflective practice and clinical reasoning
- Foster a professional learning environment that encourages accountability, integrity, and teamwork
- Promote student success through active engagement and adaptable teaching methods
- Maintain accurate and timely records of grades, attendance, and student performance
- Stay current with clinical practices and instructional material
- Participate in departmental meetings and collaborative initiatives
