We uniquely blend the national curriculum with essential life readiness skills, catering to students aged 7 to 18 who can engage with the national curriculum but require tailored support such as smaller class sizes and specialized teaching methods.
As an Adjunct Educator, you will play a vital role in our team, with responsibilities tailored to the school's evolving needs. Your key contributions will include:
Excellence in Curriculum and Instruction
- Design and deliver engaging lessons that reflect the diverse learning styles of our students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies and meaningful activities to cater to individual educational needs.
- Employ effective assessment methods to track student progress, providing timely feedback and implementing necessary instructional support to bridge learning gaps.
- Collaborate in enhancing curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment strategies to foster improved teaching and learning outcomes.
Comprehensive Student Development
- Establish strong, supportive relationships with students by showing genuine care and encouragement.
- Implement data-driven, student-centered Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Individual Transition Plans (ITPs) while partnering with families and allied professionals to achieve educational goals.
- Create and uphold positive and structured classroom routines that cultivate a safe and nurturing learning environment.
- Apply effective behavior management techniques to support students with complex and challenging behaviors.
- Respond to emergencies with prompt action to ensure student safety and adhere to school protocols.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
- Maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders, including families, to support student initiatives.
- Foster strong partnerships with families and caregivers to attain desired educational outcomes.
