Role overview
The Accounting Solutions Consultant connects sales, product, and prospective clients. This position creates proof of concepts, leads product demonstrations, and illustrates how Campfire’s accounting platform addresses real business needs. As a client-facing consultant, this role directly supports Campfire’s go-to-market strategy and growth.
What you will do
- Act as a technical accounting expert during sales and scoping sessions, translating complex requirements into practical solutions using Campfire’s platform.
- Lead live sales meetings, presenting the platform and answering technical accounting questions.
- Identify customer pain points and collaborate with product and engineering teams to design tailored solutions.
- Share customer feedback with product development to help guide the product roadmap.
- Assist in creating marketing materials and contribute to the evolving go-to-market strategy.
Requirements
- Extensive accounting expertise. CPA certification is a plus. A background combining public accounting and tech industry experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of standards such as ASC 606 (revenue recognition), ASC 830 (foreign currency), and ASC 842 (lease accounting) is useful. Experience applying AI to accounting processes is a bonus.
- Strong grasp of accounting workflows, including period-end close and journal entry approval.
- Ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with accounting software or financial technology platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
