Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:A degree in a technical engineering discipline, complemented by a minimum of 2 years of experience in a design or CAD-related role. Equivalent experience will also be considered. A certification in 3D Computer Aided Design (CATIA); familiarity with TeamCentre (TCe) is an advantage. Demonstrated expertise in engineering design principles, concepts, and practices. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to plan and manage workloads to meet deadlines. A solid understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration across departments and with external stakeholders.

We are seeking a talented 3D CAD Engineer to contribute to comprehensive 3D data designs and drawings that meet the needs of our projects and clients. This dynamic role involves crafting design proposals, making critical decisions regarding engineering modifications, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality designs.

  • As a 3D CAD Engineer, you will create and refine design concepts while managing project progress, including organizing meetings when necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with customer manufacturing teams to verify design solutions and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Responsible for the timely release of both 3D designs and 2D drawings, adhering to customer requirements and methodologies.
  • Proactively address and escalate design issues, ensuring that technical challenges are followed up effectively.
  • Contribute to Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes, identifying and reporting any deviations from the project timeline.
  • Assist in Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) inputs and ensure that harness designs meet Bill of Design (BOD) compliance.
  • Support component engineers in the development of components, verifying design solutions in both virtual and physical prototypes.
