INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

We are excited to offer students an immersive internship experience with our dynamic Creative team at a fully integrated, digitally-savvy advertising agency. Our mission is to provide opportunities for diverse talents to gain valuable exposure, experience, and access to careers in marketing and advertising. The internship lasts for 12 weeks, during which some interns have successfully transitioned into careers at The Shipyard.

We believe that a hands-on learning approach is crucial for intern success; thus, candidates must be available to work on-site in our San Diego, CA office.

Interns are expected to commit to approximately 40 hours per week during the summer and will receive compensation of $22 per hour for their contributions to our team.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Interns will be integrated into the Creative department and paired with a supervisor who will provide guidance and mentorship. This role offers a comprehensive overview of the agency, allowing interns to engage with various departments and gain insights into how we collaborate across functions.

Summer interns will have the opportunity to shadow meetings and working sessions, collaborate with team members on projects, and contribute to the overall success of campaigns.

To qualify for this internship, candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
